Other than the names, VooPoo is not known for repetition, and the Argus XT is unlike anything the company has yet to release. The design is so intriguing and has something going on all over it. The shape is an asymmetrical polygon (six sided with varied angles), and it just feels natural in the hand. Oddly, the harsh edges add to the feel and intuitive ergonomics. The Argus XT is designed with a strong appearance with a mixture of leather and aluminium for a luxurious visual effect. Additionally, using lanyards or hanging buckles to carry gadgets outside is more practical with lanyard rings.
It is secure when kept in your backpack or pocket because the battery door feels sturdy and takes some effort to open and close. Two small rubber cushions that assist protect the mod and surfaces when you set it down are a great little touch.
The USB-C charging connector is concealed beneath a small flap towards the bottom; although it felt slightly slack, it didn't rattle or unintentionally open while in use. With a 3 Amp charging pace, you won't have to spend much time staring at the attractively animated charging screen, which just displays the percentage of charge.
Such as resistance and battery levels, the information on the screen is accurate and includes battery level and percentage. The screen is bright, and the wattage font is really large and attractive.
The "NEW" tank has a "Volcano Crater Design" that offers leak protection, DM1-4 coils, and quite elaborate airflow adjustability, which makes it very different from the MAAT original. Up until you reach the airflow adjustment, the new style is fairly fantastic and fits the mod because it is quite modern.
It has twin sided air inlets that appear to be a touch modest even when fully open, but that impression is misleading because this tank is VERY airy when fully open. I was thrilled with it even before I tried it out for myself. The tank comes apart very simply, however I had trouble getting the glass off. I decided against using the necessary amount of force because I didn't have a spare and needed to review it. I'm confident that after I break the seal, it will just push off. The base unscrews with minimal threading and is nicely machined, but the top filling cap requires a third of a turn in the opposite direction to seal and remain in place. The coils press into place easily. The MAAT is clearly responsible for the wonderful flavour, warmth, and smoothness. With a new tank and coil, the mod does its function admirably, but more than that, thanks to its ergonomics and single battery design, it feels like the ideal instrument for the task.
